About Me
Hi, visitor! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to take a look at my site! My name is Julian Pollifrone (Paul-i-fr-own) and I’m a dedicated Learning Experience Designer and Educator from Bradenton, Florida. I began my journey into the field of education as a Peer Writing Tutor for The University of Central Florida as an undergraduate student in 2017. Over the course of three years, I worked with students of all levels - from undergraduate freshmen to postdoctoral researchers - on an expansive range of writing projects. From collaborating on design reports with mechanical engineering students to brainstorming ideas for dental school personal statements, I learned a lot about various genres of writing for a multitude of disciplines and gained a passion for helping others fulfill their academic and professional goals.
Flash forward to the present day where I am working as a Digital Media and Film Instructor for a K-5 public charter school and pursuing a Master’s degree in Learning, Design, and Technology with a concentration in Training and Development. I started this new journey with The University of North Carolina at Charlotte as my Writing Center Director and close mentor from UCF, Dr. R. Mark Hall, became a recent department head with the institution. Despite being a distance learning student, I always felt close and connected to the instructional staff and course material. Whether it be Instructional Video Design with Dr. Jeff Ertzberger or Designing Learning Systems with Simulation and Game Technology with Dr. Hannah Miles, I always felt engaged and excited to test out what I’ve learned in my own teaching. As I near an anticipated Spring 2026 graduation, I aspire to help shape the current and future generations of learners with my creativity and passion for innovative learning design practices.
